X-Men: Days of Future Past – First Look at Sentinels and Details About Havok

X-Men First Class line up

Bryan Singer loves to tweet photos from the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past and fans love to see the sneak peeks he doles out, whether they’re big and important or just fun and goofy. The most recent picture he tweeted falls into the former category. He has just given us the first full look at the Sentinels:

Sure, it’s a different design from the comics (and Wolverine doesn’t wear yellow spandex, either), but at least it keeps the snazzy purple coloring!

But that’s not the only news we have for you. Lucas Till recently gave an interview about his role as Havok in the upcoming film and how he fits in with everything. He hinted that Havok will be fighting in Vietnam (which explains this photo) but he went on to give details about his character’s “ambiguity”:

Ambiguity is his thing. The ambiguity comes from a place of being a liability. He can’t control his power. He famously can’t control his power for a lot of his arc.

That’s the reason he is never on the good side, because he doesn’t want to hurt anyone, but he’s never really been a bad guy. Or he has been but it was sort of Machiavellian, it was a ploy to get on the bad side and undermine them.

I think Havok always has a good heart. But he’s definitely not playing for any team necessarily in this one.

Interesting. So how will Havok fit into the story this time around? Well, we’ll have to wait and see.

X-Men: Days of Future Past will be released May 23, 2014. So what do you think about Havok? How about that Sentinel? Wish it had more purple? Let us know in the comments below!
