Anna Torv to Star in New HBO Show

anna_jenniferAfter a five-year stint on the FOX sci-fi drama Fringe, Anna Torv returns to television in a starring role for the pilot of the new HBO drama Open.

Created by Ryan Murphy (Glee, American Horror Story), the pilot was written by Murphy and Lauren Gussis (Dexter). Open is described as a show that explores sexuality, monogamy, and intimacy in relationships. Also starring opposite Torv will be Jennifer Jason Leigh (Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Weeds). Torv will be playing Windsor, who is in a long term relationship with Leigh’s character Holly.

Previously announced, Open also stars Wes Bentley (The Hunger Games) and Scott Speedman (Underworld: Evolution) as Evan – who speaks of his many theories on human sexuality – and Jonathan – a sports marketing executive – respectively.

HBO’s order for the pilot has it scheduled to air in April.
