New X-Men: Days of Future Past Details Revealed

X-Men: First Class line up

We’ve got some new details about X-Men: Days of Future Past, including new character names and in what way The Wolverine will set up the film.

Peter DinklageFirst off, Peter Dinklage, whose character has been unknown for months, will play Bolivar Trask, the scientist who creates the giant mutant-hunting robots, the Sentinels. But that’s not all – another character has also been revealed. Josh Helman will be playing a young William Stryker, the villain in both X2 and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Also, adding to the overwhelmingly huge cast, Lucas Till will return as Havok.

Plotwise, it has been revealed that Kitty Pride will use her powers to send Wolverine back in time, where he will meet the young Magneto and Professor X. This new information puts light on another new development: the post-credits scene at the end of the soon-to-be-released The Wolverine will set up X-Men: Days of Future Past. I suppose we can assume that post-credits scene will feature Wolverine being asked to help the X-Men once again, or something along those lines, but you can just wait and see what happens on July 26 when The Wolverine is released in theaters.

X-Men: Days of Future Past will premiere May 23, 2014. What do you think about the latest news? Still wondering how the heck they’re going to be able to fit all those characters into one film? Let us know in the comments below!
