Veronica Mars to Make an Appearance at SDCC

In a Kickstarter backers update last Monday, Associate Producer Ivan Askwith  made an announcement that Veronica Mars is going to be at SDCC.

The cast and crew will only be able to be there the morning of Friday, July 19th due to their filming schedule. They will be shooting late in LA the night before and then return back as soon as they are done at SDCC to finish up their final day of production.

An official panel will be held, but the exact time and location cannot be shared as of this time. Confirmed panelists are: Rob Thomas, Kristen Bell, Enrico Colantoni, Ryan Hansen, Jason Dohring, Tina Majorino, Krysten Ritter, Chris Lowell, Percy Daggs III, and Francis Capra.  The moderator will be Entertainment Weekly’s Jeff Jensen. Aside from the standard Q&A, exclusive footage will be shown.

There will also be a signing at the Warner Bros. booth with the panelists except Kristen. Details to come, but tickets and wristbands will be given out in advance for the signings.

In the evening, a fan event will be held with more questions, footage, and hopefully some surprises. Askwith suggests to follow them on Twitter and Facebook for real-time updates on what is going on while they’re at SDCC. For some project backers, seating is already reserved. For those without reserved seating, the remaining ticket line will start around 6 am. This event is open to everybody, so you do not need to be registered for SDCC to attend.

The fan event will be at Horton Plaza – Regal Cinemas (United Artists 8) on July 19, 2013 at 7:30 pm.
