Sherlock to make its first SDCC appearance

SherlockIt’s 2 weeks till the San Diego Comic Con and updates are coming at us from all sides. Today we learn that the BBC and PBS’ darling Sherlock will be making its very first appearance at the Con.

Sadly its stars, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, will not be attending. But the creative forces behind the show will be. Show creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, and producer Sue Vertue will be in attendance. And PBS has promised there will be surprises – which will hopefully mean a trailer, or a direct message from Cumberbatch and Freeman lamenting their inability to attend. The date and time of the panel have yet to be announced, but EW is reporting that information will be released tomorrow (the 4th of July? Really?).

Sherlock is due to air in the UK on BBC One sometime this fall, while American fans will have to wait till early 2014 to see it on PBS.

If you haven’t seen the show yet you can pick up Season 1 and Season 2 on Amazon.
