It’s hard to believe how long the Harry Potter series has been out, but already they’re getting new cover art left and right. First, in honor of the fifteenth anniversary of the publication of Sorcerer’s Stone in the US, new paperback covers have been commissioned by artist Kazu Kibuishi. The first of which was unveiled back in February. The art for Chamber of Secrets and for Prisoner of Azkaban have now been released as well:
But Scholastic isn’t the only one revamping Harry’s look. Bloomsbury, Harry’s UK publisher, has also just revealed new cover art, this time for new adult paperback editions. The first three covers have been unveiled with the rest soon to follow, and each one features a vibrant coloring and a woodcut style sketch created by artist Andrew Davidson. The first three books with this swanky new art will be released July 18, 2013, with the next two following on August 15, 2013, and then the final two installments will be released on September 26, 2013. I like the US ones a lot. The new British ones are a bit weird.
