Right on the heels of Shailene Woodley being cut from the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and the probability of her character, Mary Jane Watson, being recast in the next two films, there may be a new player in this odd casting drama. Sarah Gadon has just been cast in an unnamed role in the franchise. Naturally, rumors have already begun saying that she’s replacing Woodley as Mary Jane, Peter Parker’s future love interest, but who she will play has yet to be released so that is all speculation. In fact, that’s pretty much all the information we have at the moment, so there’s only so much to work with. We’ll let you know what happens next!
