Jenna Coleman joins the cast of ‘Death Comes To Pemberley’

Jenna ColemanJenna Coleman has had a bit of a break lately between filming on series 7 (+1 50th Anniversary Special) and series 8 of Doctor Who, which resumes later this summer, and it looks like she’s found a way to fill in a bit of her time. It’s just been announced the actress will join the cast of BBC One’s adaptation of Death Comes To Pemberley.

Yes, that Pemberly. It’s based on the book of the same name by P. D. James about a murder mystery set six years after the events of Jane Austen’s much beloved Pride and Prejudice. Coleman will play Lydia Wickham in the three part series, which is drawing quite a cast, including Matthew Rhys (Darcy), Anna Maxwell Martin (Elizabeth) and Matthew Goode (Wickham).

Death Comes To Pemberley will film later this month in Yorkshire and as it’s the BBC, we have no idea of a release date. Though it’s safe to say it’ll likely be this winter, perhaps as part of the BBC’s Christmas period specials?
