HBO has released the first full trailer for The Newsroom‘s second season, and it’s pretty intense. Minor plot spoilers follow:
It looks like even Will McAvoy can’t call the Tea Party the American Taliban and get away scot-free. The team faces such obstacles as being condemned by the US House of Representatives as well as a wrongful termination suit. Relationships on the team are tense as well, with Jim jumping at the chance to get out of the office to follow Mitt Romney’s campaign as Maggie and Don grow closer. Personally, I’m more interested in how Sloan Sabbith deals with this turn of events – the preview shows her feelings for Don haven’t lessened since her confession to him last year.
