It’s been two years since Idris Elba graced our screens as Luther, the obsessive detective who can’t keep his personal life and professional life separate.
Well, the wait is almost over.
The BBC has just announced that Luther’s third series will begin airing on BBC One this July. It’s the BBC, so of course we’re unlikely to know an exact date until that weeks Radio Times is published. But at least fans can rest assured that it’s coming soon.
Fans should also watch this space, as there is due to be a trailer premiered on BBC One tonight, and we’ll share it with you as soon as it’s put online.
Catch up on Idris Elba’s award winning role by purchasing the DVDs at Amazon.
UPDATE: Here’s that trailer –
YES!
My wife was out of town for training for a new job for 8 weeks which left me home alone with the baby. At night after I’d put my daughter to bed I would marathon shows on Netflix to fill the time. Luther was one of them and I enjoyed it to pieces. So glad this is coming back and it looks more intense and more cinematic.
Can’t wait until July.
