Iron Man 3 has already made an impact internationally, and now it is keeping up with that reputation in the US. During the film’s opening weekend, Iron Man 3 earned $175.3 million dollars. That’s the second highest film debut in US history, right behind Marvel’s The Avengers, the popularity of which probably helped boost sales for Tony Stark’s latest adventure. Globally, it continues to earn big, raking in $680 million so far. Odds are that Iron Man 3 will probably join The Avengers in the billion dollar club, which is good news for Marvel and any fans hoping for the franchise to continue.
