Iron Man 3 opened internationally on April 26 and has broken records in several countries, surpassing the opening weekend haul taken by The Avengers last year. Iron Man 3 took in an estimated $195.3 million (£125.8 million) this past weekend around the world. The Avengers took in $185.1 million (£119.2 million) during its opening weekend, and then went on to become the third-highest grossing film in history. Can Iron Man 3 beat that record too? Iron Man 3 will be released in the US on May 3, and it is currently in theaters in the UK. Do you think that it can break the record of The Avengers and get a place in the top three? Or do you think Tony can do one better and finally knock down one of James Cameron’s epics, Titanic or  Avatar? Let us know in the comments below!
