Empire Magazine have an exclusive look at the trailer for British thriller In Fear.
The film synopsis is light on details, but intriguing nonetheless:
A young couple fights to survive one night-turned-nightmare. Driving to a music festival, Tom and Lucy have plans to stay at a countryside hotel. But with hotel signs leading them in circles and darkness falling, they soon become lost in a maze of country roads… and the target of an unknown tormentor.
What’s most intriguing is the knowledge that film director, Jeremy Lovering, kept the story a mystery from the films stars as well. Ian De Caestecker and Alice Englert, who play the films romantic leads, were given only an overall story arc when they signed on for the film, and then handed script pages as filming progressed. Even then, some of the surprise moments were truly surprises for the actors.
In Fear looks to be a truly thrilling and haunting film that has already made this writer a little wary of taking another jaunt around Britain’s less inhabited pathways. The film is due to release on 30th August in the UK, with no international release dates set yet.
