Anne Hathaway Joins Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’

Anne HathawayAnne Hathaway is putting herself at the mercy of Christopher Nolan again, as word comes that she has joined Matthew McConaughey in the cast of Interstellar.

What is Interstellar you ask? Well, we can’t really tell you. In the tradition of Nolan films all details of the story and script are being kept strictly under wraps. But we know there will be stars, if that helps.

What little is known about the film is more back channel stuff than actual plot. Interstellar was originally written by Nolan’s brother, Jonah Nolan, who has worked with Christopher on several of his previous film screenplays including Memento, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, and is also responsible for creating Person of Interest. The film is based on wormhole theories of Kit P. Thorne from Cal Tech, and was sitting on Steven Spielberg’s list of ‘Things To Do’ from 2006 until Nolan announced in January that he’d be taking on the project, and combining the original script with an original idea of his own. Thorne is due to stay on as a technical advisor, so the story is bound to be scientifically confusing, and therefore awesome. I mean it’s Christopher Nolan and that’s what he does best.

Filming on Interstellar is due this summer, with a tentative November 2014 release date.
