BBC America Producing ‘Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell’ for Supernatural Saturday

Jonathan Strange & Mr NorrellBBC America adds another new co-production to its list as the network announces it will produce a 7-part series based on Susanna Clarke’s best-selling novel Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell along with the BBC.

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell takes place in England during the Napoleonic Wars in a world where magic once existed, and is about to return. The series is set to premiere sometime in 2014 as part of BBC America’s Supernatural Saturday.

The 7 episodes, all 60 minutes long, will be directed by Toby Haynes (who has worked on Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Wallander) and are set to film in England and Canada this summer.
