Ant-Man, you’re a star! Well, you will be soon. The superhero will make his movie debut, directed by Edgar Wright, (Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim vs the World), on November 6, 2015. An Ant-Man movie has been in consideration for some time but nothing had been definite until recently when the movie was officially announced this summer at San Diego Comic Con.
Ant-Man, a scientist who develops a way to change his size, is one of the founding members of the Avengers, and comic book fans were disappointed that he didn’t make an appearance during their first adventure in theaters. The current release day for Ant-Man places it after the debut of Avengers 2, so he may yet again not be included among his fellow superheroes. But who knows, he could make an appearance in the sequel before setting off on his own adventure. Unfortunately, it’ll be a few years before we find out. But if there’s anything Marvel movie fans are good at, it’s waiting!

Edgar Wright isn’t the only reason I’m interested in this movie. I’d be interested in an Ant-Man adaptation, but only if a director I think wouldn’t ruin it was at the helm (because lets face it, in the wrong hands this story more so than others could be really awful). But someone as awesome as Edgar Wright? I’m looking forward to it.
