Casting News for Supernatural

Amanda TappingSpoiler alert!

Sci-Fi goddess Amanda Tapping, best known for her roles in the Stargate franchise and Sanctuary, has been cast in a major recurring role in the eighth season of Supernatural. Tapping is set to play Naomi, a character described as a straight-laced, “no-nonsense bureaucrat” who is actually, according to showrunner Jeremy Carver, “part of a new group of angels we’ve never seen before.” She’ll first appear in the seventh episode of the season, “A Little Slice of Kevin.”

But wait, there’s more! Mike Farrell, famous for his iconic role as B.J. Hunnicutt on M*A*S*H, will guest star in the eighth episode as a character named Fred Jones, “an aging mentalist with a slippery grasp on reality.”
