Peter Jackson announced in a video on his official Facebook page that a new trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be released this week along with some other new content. The new trailer is in celebration of “Tolkien Week,” which marks the seventy-fifth anniversary of the publication of The Hobbit. Jackson also reminded fans in his video that September 22 is Bilbo’s and Frodo’s combined birthday.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the first film in the Hobbit trilogy, will be released in theaters December 14. We’ll keep an eye on Peter Jackson’s Facebook page this week to bring you the newest trailer and any the other cool stuff unveiled. Happy Tolkien Week!
