Two more actors, one new and one returning, have been confirmed for the sequel to Marvel’s superhero hit Thor. If you don’t want to know anything about the movie, then turn back now — spoilers ahead!
Most of the original cast from Thor has already been confirmed to return for Thor: The Dark World, including Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston as Thor and Loki, but only just this week did we know for sure that Kat Dennings would join them, her character Darcy Lewis set to snark again in the face of Norse gods from outer space. According to Digital Spy she’ll have more of a role than just the funny sidekick she played in the first movie.
A new addition to the cast is Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. He will play Algrim the Strong, a Dark Elf working for Malekith (Christopher Eccleston), ruler of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim.
Directed by Alan Taylor, Thor: The Dark World will be released in theaters November 8, 2013. With most of the original cast returning and Christopher “The Ninth Doctor” Eccleston on board, looks like this could be a very intriguing sequel.
