Inside HBO’s Game of Thrones

As a show that relies heavily on costuming, special effects, location, and a slew of other factors that pertain to the fantasy genre, HBO has decided to release a companion book that will give those interested a look into what goes into creating the unique and specific elements necessary to bring Westeros to life.  Set to be released on September 25^th, Inside HBO’s Game of Thrones will contain pictures and information about what exactly happens behind the camera. Two spreads from the book have been revealed to Entertainment Weekly, including a snippet of the section devoted to Daenerys Targaryen, and the preface by George R.R. Martin, the author of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series that the television series is based on.

In addition to the pages, you can delve further into what’s to come by checking out a preview video posted by HBO the other day. It includes behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with those responsible for making everything from Jaime’s sword, to Dany’s dresses, to the castles of Winterfell.
