Richard E. Grant to appear in Doctor Who Series 7 Christmas Special

Richard E. Grant will be appearing in this years Doctor Who Christmas special, which began filming this week. Though it’s unclear what role Grant will take on, rumor has it he will play the villain, in an episode which will see the introduction of The Doctor’s latest companion, played by Jenna Louise Coleman.

The thespian actor is no novice in The Doctor’s world. He previously voiced the Time Lord himself in the 2003 online animated series “Scream of the Shalka.” Perhaps his most memorable run in with the Who universe was in the 1995 Comic Relief sketch penned by current Show Runner, Steven Moffat, “The Curse of the Fatal Death,” where he played the Tenth Doctor, aka “The Quite Handsome Doctor,” long before David Tennant took a suspiciously similar stab at the same role.
