Merlin Series 5 Trailer Hits the Web

It wasn’t supposed to be released until Friday, but the trailer for Merlin’s 5th Series is already up on YouTube.

It’s use of Muse’s “Knights of Cydonia” feels a bit odd to me, and there’s little new footage beyond the trailer that was shown at San Diego Comic Con. But I’ll admit, they’ve got me intrigued.

   Not enough Merlin in the trailer of his own show. I hope season 5 will focus more on the hero of the show, the one who is the titular character: Merlin!

     I hate to admit it, but from what I gathered in the press room at SDCC, I honestly don’t think Merlin will become any more the focus. To be honest, most of what the producers talked about was Gwen’s story, and making Morgana fit into the main plotline better.

   I agree with CNMN: More Merlin! He’s such a cutie. But we could also explore more the not-so-sweet things he’s done. However, focusing more on Gwen and Morgana sounds god too. Maybe the show runners finally listened to all the criticism about their frequent feminist fail.
