Hammer release details of new “The Woman In Black” Sequel

Because if a film does well, and there’s room for it, clearly there must be a sequel. And The Woman In Black certainly did better than anyone expected ($54m domestic, $137m worldwide), and it’s got that open ending. The original book the film was based on did not have a follow up, but Hammer have developed a story with the help of the books’ author, Susan Hill. Here’s the synopsis:

Seized by the government and converted into a military mental hospital during World War II, the sudden arrival of disturbed soldiers to Eel Marsh Harsh has awoken its darkest inhabitant.  Eve, a beautiful young nurse, is sent to the house to care for the patients but soon realizes she must save them from more than their own demons.  Despite Eve’s efforts to stop her, one by one they fall victim to the Woman in Black.

The film is entitled The Woman In Black: Angels of Death, and sounds sufficiently creepy and exciting. Remains to be seen if I’ll spend even more time hiding behind my hoodie this time.
