Game of Thrones boxed set collectibleHBO just released the complete collection of all eight epic seasons of its hit series Game of Thrones just in time for the holidays.

The final season will be released on Blu-ray and DVD including tons of bonus features and extra footage. According to the HBO press release, the show, based on George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, is the most awarded series in television history with a record 161 Emmy nominations and 59 wins. Game of Thrones was also HBO’s most viewed program ever with the final season averaging 44 million viewers in the U.S..

Game of Thrones concluded its historic run earlier this year with a finale that elicited strong reactions from the show’s fans. But whatever one may think of how the story was wrapped up, there is no denying the legacy left by a series that consistently surpassed the limits of television.

HBO will also release Game of Thrones: Season 8 in a stunning 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray™ Steelbook, and the single-season DVD/Blu-ray™. Additionally, Game of Thrones: The Complete Series will also be available on DVD/Blu-ray™ without the collectible packaging. These sets are loaded with extra content and will also be available to own on December 3rd.”
