It’s a wrap for Steven Spielberg’s ‘West Side Story’!

Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story has officially wrapped! In honor of the milestone for the project, Spielberg wrote a letter and shared some new photos with us. It’s a timeless classic and this generation will finally have its own version of the tale. Don’t forget to go through them whenever you have a chance. Congratulations, everyone! We can’t wait to see it when it comes out next year. He included a beautiful letter in the wrap tweet, posted by 20th Century Fox, in which he had a lot of gratitude to give to the cast and crew for their efforts.

“This has been a journey without precedence: a joyful, stunningly moving, endlessly surprising encounter with the story and score of one of the world’s greatest musicals. My brilliantly talented, fiercely committed, generous and apparently inexhaustible cast and crew of hundreds have given our film everything they’ve got, and already I can say that the film we’ll be releasing on December 18, 2020 owes everything to them, as does its immensely grateful director.”

–Steven Spielberg

The letter was also translated into Spanish, in the true spirit of West Side Story, and you can read it below.
