WATCH: Good Omens official trailer

Good Omens posterGood Omens has released its official trailer and we get to see more the series extensive, all-star cast, as they try and prevent the end of times.

The first trailer was released during New York Comic Con and was focused on the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley, and now, the official trailer gives us an extended glimpse of this unique tale, this time showing more characters such as the young Anti-Christ, the four horsemen of the apocalypse, and very briefly, Satan himself (who will be voiced by Benedict Cumberatch). Queen’s classic “Under Pressure” plays as the strange celestial pair embark on a journey to save the world they have come to love. It’s going to be the “last great battle between heaven and hell.”

The cast and showrunners spoke extensively about the show at the TCAs. This adaptation was years in the making and was a very special project for Neil Gaiman because of the promise he made to his co-author, the great Terry Pratchett.

Here is the official synopsis of the show:

“Good Omens is based on the beloved book by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman which follows an unlikely duo, a fussy Angel Good Omens hats(Michael Sheen, Masters of Sex) and a loose-living Demon (David Tennant, Doctor Who) who’ve become overly fond of life on Earth are forced to form an unlikely alliance to stop Armageddon. But they have lost the Antichrist, an 11-year-old boy unaware he’s meant to bring upon the end of days, forcing them to embark on an adventure to find him and save the world before it’s too late.

Good Omens stars Michael Sheen, David Tennant, Jon Hamm, Nick Offerman, Jack Whitehall, Miranda Richardson, Adria Arjona, Michael McKean, Anna Maxwell Martin, Mireille Enos, among others, and is produced by Amazon Studios, BBC Studios, The Blank Corporation and Narrativia. Neil Gaiman, Douglas Mackinnon, Chris Sussman, Simon Winstone and Rob Wilkins serve as Executive Producers.”
