Game of Thrones Crypts of Winterfell

HBO has released the first teaser video for the highly anticipated final season of Game of Thrones which has also been confirmed to premiere on April 14, 2019.

Game of Thrones Crypts of Winterfell

Fans of the epic saga are getting more and more treats as the launch of the last batch of episodes draws near. While it was previously announced that the season would air in April of this year, HBO put together an intriguing teaser to announce the exact date.

According to a report by Collider, Game of Thrones co-executive producer described the final season as one that
“is about all of these disparate characters coming together to face a common enemy, dealing with their own past, and defining the person they want to be in the face of certain death. It’s an incredibly emotional haunting bittersweet final season and I think it honors very much what [author George R.R. Martin] set out to do — which is flipping this kind of story on its head.”

Recently, a brief clip was released showing Daenerys Targaryen arriving in Winterfell and being welcomed by Sansa Stark.

The new teaser shows Jon Snow, Sansa Stark, and Arya Stark exploring the crypts of Winterfell while voice overs from deceased characters are heard in the background. All three Starks come face to face with statues of themselves while a feather falls on the ground. The clip ends with a cold breeze blowing across the crypt, freezing the feather. Arya and Jon brandish their weapons as they prepare for the fight ahead with the army of White Walkers.

The tease was directed by David Nutter, who won an Emmy® in 2015 for the season five finale (“Mother’s Mercy”). The tease includes an original score by Ramin Djawadi, who won an Emmy® in 2018 for the season seven finale (“The Dragon and the Wolf”).

Don’t miss the final season of Game of Thrones on April 14 on HBO.
