Avengers 4 Trailer – Title Finally Revealed

The Avengers must assemble again for one final journey in the trailer for Avengers 4 (let the trailer tell you the title).

“Part of the journey is the end”

After months of speculation, fans and audiences finally know the official title for Avengers 4. Avengers: End Game, both a reference to Doctor Strange’s line in Avengers: Infinity War and to Tony referring to the threat in space from Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Unlike the trailer for Infinity War, which was a big announcement showcasing all the corners of the MCU coming together, the marketing for this is now focused on the more somber aspect. Focusing on this being ‘the end.’ The end of the path that started way back in 2008 with Iron Man.

The trailer teases some major elements. Shuri appears to have been dusted. Hawkeye is wearing his Ronin costume from the comics. Iron Man being lost in space with Nebula hints that the movie doesn’t take place months later as many speculated. His line of “rescue” also may hint that Pepper Potts in the Rescue armor (which Paltrow revealed on Instagram) will be the one to save him.

The big plan is, fittingly, teased. We don’t know what the Avengers’ plan is, but we know it is their last hope. Speaking of hope, the trailer ends on a light note reminding us that there is still hope: in the form of Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man. Between Ant-Man and the upcoming Captain Marvel joining the fight, the Avengers are down but not out. The Avengers have disassembled, but now it is time to Assemble.

Marvel also released the first poster for Avengers: End Game, matching the styles of the previous Avengers teaser posters. Marvel has also moved the release date up to April 26, 2019.
