The panel was moderated by Patton Oswalt, who also introduced the audience to an exclusive look at footage from season two featuring some familiar roadside attractions, breathtaking scenery, and Odin himself. The panel included author and executive producer Neil Gaiman, Ricky Whittle (Shadow Moon) , Pablo Schreiber (Mad Sweeney), Emily Browning (Laura Moon), Orlando Jones (Mr. Nancy), Yetide Badaki (Bilquis), Crispin Glover (Mr. World), Bruce Langley (Technical Boy), Omid Abtahi (Salim), Mousa Kraish (The Jinn), and Demore Barnes (Mr. Ibis).

Here is the synopsis for the highly anticipated season:

“Following the epic showdown at Easter’s party, Season Two ups the ante with Mr. Wednesday continuing his quest to pitch the case for war to the Old Gods with Shadow, Laura and Mad Sweeney in tow. But when things don’t go as planned at the House on the Rock, they all find themselves on a haunting journey through middle America. “

“You’re in the fairy tale now, aren’t ya?” Mad Sweeney asks Shadow in the trailer while Laura warns him against trusting Mr. Wednesday. War is brewing between the old gods and the new and Shadow finds himself caught in the middle of this massive conflict.

As previously reportedAmerican Gods season 2 will see the return of Whittle as Shadow, Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday, and Emily Browning as Laura. Jesse Alexander (Hannibal, Star Trek: Discovery) will serve as showrunner while Gaiman, according to Starz CEO Chris Albrecht, will be “taking more of a central role and moving forward into a more traditional showrunner function.” Gaiman said that he will “help plot and guide and build American Gods” while collaborating closely with Alexander.
