Watch the first teaser for She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

She-Ra and the Princesses of PowerNetflix has released a wonderful first look at its upcoming animated adventure series, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

Den of Geek shared the news about the exciting reboot of the 80s cartoon character, She-Ra.

The short clip shows our heroine hearing a confusing message from a mysterious voice who talks to her about her destiny. She picks up a magical sword and transforms into the amazing princess that she is meant to be. And we even hear the iconic “For the honor of Grayskull!”

As previously reported, the series will be helmed by executive producers Noelle Stevenson (Lumberjanes, Nimona) and Chuck Austen (Dawn of the Croods, Steven Universe).

Here is the official synopsis:

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is the story of an orphan named Adora (Carrero), who leaves behind her former life in the evil Horde when she discovers a magic sword that transforms her into the mythical warrior princess She-Ra. Along the way, she finds a new family in the Rebellion as she unites a group of magical princesses in the ultimate fight against evil.”

She-Ra will be voiced by Aimee Carrero (Elena of Avalor), Glimmer will be voiced by Karen Fukuhara (Suicide Squad), Bow will be voiced by Marcus Scribner (black-ish), and Catra will be voiced by AJ Michalka (The Goldbergs). The series also stars Reshma Shetty (Royal Pains) as Angella; Lorraine Toussaint(Orange is the New Black) as Shadow Weaver; Keston John (The Good Place) as Hordak; Lauren Ash (Superstore) as Scorpia; Christine Woods (Hello Ladies) as Entrapta; Genesis Rodriguez (Time After Time) as Perfuma; Jordan Fisher(Grease Live!) as Seahawk; Vella Lovell (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) as Mermista; Merit Leighton (Alexa & Katie) as Frosta; Sandra Oh (Killing Eve) as Castaspella; and Krystal Joy Brown (Motown: The Musical) as Netossa.
