WATCH: New Trailer Released for Blumhouse Productions’ ‘Halloween’

Blumhouse Productions, having taken the reigns and leading the Halloween franchise into new territory, has unveiled a brand new trailer for the upcoming latest installment in the series. Directed by David Gordon Green (Eastbound & Down) and co-written by Green and long-time collaborator Danny McBride, Halloween will serve as a direct sequel to John Carpenter’s 1978 horror classic of the same name, ignoring the events that occurred in the sequels that followed.

Jamie Lee Curtis will return as Laurie Strode, the Haddonfield resident that survived Michael Myers’ brutal attacks so many years ago, and Nick Castle will don the white mask once again taking the form of Myers himself. Starring alongside Curtis and Castle will be Judy Greer (Ant-Man and the Wasp) as Laurie’s daughter Karen, Will Patton (The Good Wife), and Virginia Gardner (Runaways).

Taking place forty years after the original, Halloween sees Michael Myers escape the confines of a mental asylum and return to Haddonfield, Illinois to finish what he started. Unfortunately for him Laurie Strode has been eagerly awaiting his arrival and is ready to take him down once and for all.

Halloween is set to release in theaters October 19th. Check out the full trailer below and feel free to let us know what you think in the comments.
