Scarlett Johansson Cannot Be Controlled in Latest Trailer for ‘Ghost in the Shell’

Paramount Pictures has released an all-new trailer for their upcoming live-action adaption of the anime classic, Ghost in the Shell. Directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) and written by Jamie Moss (Street Kings) and Jonathan Herman (Straight Outta Compton), Ghost in the Shell stars Scarlett Johansson (Marvel’s The Avengers), Pilou Asbæk (Game of Thrones), Michael Pitt (Hannibal), and Takeshi Kitano (Battle Royale) among others.

Based on the manga of the same name, Ghost in the Shell follows The Major (Johansson) and her task force set out to take down cyber criminals and hackers, who eventually find a new threat in a villain referred to as Kuze (Pitt). The latest trailer for the upcoming adaptation gives us a look at the film’s main antagonist as well as a hint at The Major’s tragic origins.
