You can’t have New York Comic Con without Marvel. So, in addition to giving fans a first look at their new Netflix Daredevil series, Marvel also treated NYCC goers to an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. panel on Friday, October 10. The panel featured executive producer Jeph Loeb and Agent Director Coulson himself, actor Clark Gregg. Those who were able to attend the panel were not only able to hear an entertaining discussion between Loeb and Gregg as they reminisced about first announcing the show two years ago, but were also able to watch this week’s brand new episode, “I Will Face My Enemy,” which premieres tonight, October 14 at 9/8c on ABC.

This lighter episode focuses primarily on Director Coulson and Agent May (Ming Na Wen) as they attempt to steal a painting with markings on it reminiscent of the one’s Coulson has been drawing since last season’s finale. The heist requires them to go undercover at a fancy fundraiser where the two take part in some amusing dance numbers. Additionally, the mentally broken Agent Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) goes through his own personal subplot. Check out a clip from “I Will Face My Enemy” below and check back with us Wednesday, October 15 for a full review.

Assuming showing a full episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. prior to its air date wouldn’t be enough, Marvel also showed the panel attendees a sneak peek at their new series, Agent Carter.

The footage shown featured Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) and Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) making their way to retrieve a stolen, possibly dangerous formula he created. The footage also introduced James D’Arcy (Those Who Kill) as Stark’s trusted butler, Edwin Jarvis. The footage concluded with a well shot fight scene between Agent Carter and another man in a kitchen before ending with her tossing him through a window.

According to Loeb, the footage shown was shot on the Monday prior to New York Comic Con. Agent Carter is set to premiere January 2015.

Overall, those who attended Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. panel were thrilled to have been given the opportunity to see a full episode before it airs and some exclusive footage from Agent Carter.
