Queen and Adam Lambert Embark On A Summer Tour

QueenAdamLambertThis week, Adam Lambert and current Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor announced that they will be doing a joint summer tour. Though Lambert had joined Queen in various shows the last few years – starting with their performance of “We Are the Champions” on American Idol back in 2009 – this is the first official tour that they are doing together.

During the press release for the event, May explained that, “This happened organically with Adam. People are going to ask whether it’s Queen without Freddie. I don’t know. We just want to go out there one more time. Adam isn’t an imitator. We’re going into new territory.”

The current tour dates are as follows:

  • 7/1  San Jose, CA:  SAP Center
  • 7/3  Los Angeles, CA:  The Forum
  • 7/5  Las Vegas, NV:  The Joint
  • 7/6  Las Vegas, NV:  The Joint
  • 7/9  Houston, TX:  Toyota Center
  • 7/10  Dallas, TX:  American Airlines Center
  • 7/12  Detroit, MI:  The Palace of Auburn Hills
  • 7/13  Toronto, ON:  Air Canada Centre
  • 7/14  Montreal, QC:  Bell Centre
  • 7/16  Philadelphia, PA:  Wells Fargo Center

The 19-city North American Tour will be available starting March 14th for general sales and March 10 for presales on LiveNation.
