This new weekly series will show the state of the DC Universe five years into the future. It will be written by Jeff Lemire (Sweet Tooth), Keith Giffen (Larfleeze), Brian Azzarello (Wonder Woman) and Dan Jurgens (The Death of Superman).

As the series progresses several different artists will take on the book’s interior pages. As of right now  Ethan Van Sciver (Flash: Rebirth), Jesus Merino (Superman), Aaron Lopresti (Justice League International), as well as Dan Jurgens are confirmed as series artists.

In a recent interview with AP News series writer Jeff Lemire had this to say about the upcoming project:

Really, what we’re trying to do with this book is to explore the nature of what a hero is and we’re doing that, obviously by playing with the future of the New 52 timeline.

He then went on to say that the past, present, and future of the DC Universe will all collide in this weekly series. How exactly will this affect the current state of The New 52? We’ll just have to wait and see when The New 52: Futures End #0 drops in May. Until then comic book readers, are you looking forward to this new series from DC? Let us know in the comments.
