American Rowling fanatics, get ready to freak out! To promote the release of her new book, the great J.K. Rowling herself will be making one stop—and it looks like one stop only—in the United States on October 16. She’ll be discussing her book, The Casual Vacancy, at New York’s Jazz at Lincoln Center and she’ll be interviewed on stage by author Ann Patchett. Rowling will also sign copies of her new book for the audience. Tickets for the event will be available starting September 10 and will vary in cost from $43 if purchased online, $44 if purchased via phone, and $37 if purchased at the Jazz at Lincoln Center Box Office.
The Casual Vacancy is J.K. Rowling’s first adult novel and first book outside of the Harry Potter universe, due to be released September 27. It tells the story of a small town that erupts in war and scandal after the unexpected death of a town council member. I’m excited to see how she handles the different genre (and would give my future firstborn to see her in New York). What do you think? Looking forward to Rowling’s new book and the event in New York? Tell us what you think in the comments below!
Don’t forget to pre-order your copy of the book.
